It has been several years that in the academic programs of the University’s different faculties rather interesting course has been included, aimed at speech development and oral communication improvement.
The meeting was conducted by Marine Machkalyan - a well-known specialist in the field, an experienced TV-radio speaker. We have often participated in the <open lessons> held by her, one of which was organized on March 2, at 3rd course of Law faculty.
The topic of the lesson was "How to improve the quality of speech". M. Machkalyan presented the requirements of beautiful speech: to talk clearly, listen to ourselves, controlling our speech.
“Beautiful, fluent, and literate speech attracts our listener, gains his sympathy. It is an important component of success, at the same time, the best way of convincing and achieving our goals”,- added the speaker and touched upon the most frequent shortcomings in the speech: fast speech, monotonous speech, etc.
The lecturer urged to avoid foreign words, repeatations and remember one important thing: to speak not for ears, but for eyes. That means picturesque, impressive and <visible>.
