A very long-awaited victory.
The Northern University has been re-accredited for a four-year term. The ANQA Accreditation Committee made such a decision during today’s meeting.
Gayane Marmaryan, the head of the expert group, which implemented the expertise at the University, summarized the outcomes of the external assessment, the strong and weak points of the University and the feasibility of the shortcomings elimination program. Then the members of the Accreditation Committee asked questions to the head of the expert group and the representatives of the University. It was followed by the closed discussion and voting.
Let us note that in 2015, Northern University received conditional institutional accreditation for two years. The expert group, pointing out to the problems of the university, provided consultation on eliminating shortcomings. The University, having the expertise of experts as a base, has developed and implemented a program of shortcomings elimination, periodically presenting reports to ANQA, on the changes and outcomes that are being implemented.
In 2017, the university applied for the re-accreditation. A group of local and international experts have conducted an expertise at the university, evaluated the outcomes of the shortcomings elimination program and provide further guidance. The university has developed a new program for the shortcomings elimination, that will be implemented over the next four years, according to the Accreditation Procedure, being accountable to ANQA about improvements procedures and results.
Congratulations to all, more serious work is expected us in the future. Get ready for future victories.
