The participation of the Northern University in the training series hosted by Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg reflects a significant commitment to enhancing the quality of higher education through strategic initiatives. The program, coordinated by Yerevan State University, under the "Establishing the National Framework of Key Performance Indicators (Kpis) For Proper Management and Quality of Higher Education in Armenia" (KPI4HE) project, aims to establish a national framework for tracking educational quality and institutional management. The project’s focus on inclusivity, digitalization, and green transition aligns with modern educational and environmental standards.
Key aspects of the initiative include the creation of the KPI4HE (National Framework of Key Performance Indicators for Higher Education), the development of a digital platform to support this framework, and revisions to accreditation standards to reflect these performance metrics. The project's collaborative structure fosters experience sharing, creating networks that facilitate Armenia's integration into the European higher education area. This will support the establishment of inclusive, digital, and environmentally conscious education practices in the country.
Moreover, the international cooperation within the Erasmus + KPI4HE program, involving the universities of Oldenburg, Genoa, and Dresden, alongside Armenian educational institutions, aims to strengthen higher education management and ensure sustainable development. The introduction of startups by students at the University of Oldenburg is highlighted as a practical result of their education strategies, equipping students with essential skills to contribute to a green economy. The collaboration promises to improve strategic planning, education internationalization, and capacity building in higher education institutions across Armenia.
